Yes. By law, you need a passport

If you are from Europe, Canada, or the United States, you don’t need a visa.

But please check this list of countries to check if you need a vista.

You need to have a ticket that guarantees your way out of Costa Rica, whether you are traveling by land, sea, or air.

A regular legal driver’s license is enough.

Master Card and Visa, are accepted everywhere in Costa Rica.

You may encounter some issues with American Express.

U.S. Dollars are accepted widely. But your change will be in colones.

Water is drinkable from the tap almost everywhere in Costa Rica. However, please ask your tour guide wherever you go and bring your own refilling bottle.
